Fatal Crash: Person Struck By Car On Busy Long Island Roadway

A person died after being hit by a car overnight on a busy Long Island roadway.

The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Melville, on Broadhollow Road (Route 110), between Spagnoli Road and Ruland Road.

It happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Melville, on Broadhollow Road (Route 110), between Spagnoli Road and Ruland Road. 

A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was driving a 2003 Toyota sedan northbound in the left lane when he struck the man who was crossing the road, Suffolk County Police said.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he was pronounced dead. Morris, of Huntington Station, was uninjured.
